look people. at the time Larry shot the psycholgical barrier to three shooting was there. it took 40 years to break the 4minute barrier in the mile. after the barrier was broken maybe a thousand have done it. so the narrator has the key - compare the players to their peers.

Bird never would have taken an elbow like that from Lambier. Clown Jabbar took a lot of cheap shots at players in his career.

I feel like Bird was better to start off with because he was older. But Jordan was better than Bird. Bird has said this b4.

I met Michael Jordan in a video store on Waukegan Road In Glenview Illinois. It was Jordan‘s rookie year. We chatted briefly, and I wished him luck. He said to me “I only hope I don’t make a fool out of myself in the NBA.“I guess he wasn’t too prescient.

I don't know who is commentating, but I am a 56 year old white guy that used to roll with some ex NBA Players in my day when I was in my 20's. Let me tell you about them. I bled from the mouth more than I ever bled in any game of sports in my life. I was like Jordan and stuck my "Tongue" out when I played./ Boy oh boy did I pay for it. I could jump almost 3 feet vertically and could touch the rim, but never practiced dunking. Mr. Commentator, "Thank you" for your UA-cam series of the NBA. Bird was was of the best 3 point pressure shooters of all time. I am so glad I grew up in that era to watch all of the 80's and 90's NBA players ball.

Great video, man. I saw that game on TV way back then. It was AWESOME. Bird was really something else. Anyone who experienced the NBA in the 80's real time knows how good Bird really was and how much he dominated. Thanks for telling the story so well.

The great thing about Bird is he talked a lot of sh#t but he kept it between him and the opponent, he didn't broadcast it yo the crowd/TV for attention.

Plain n simple, Bird won this series for the Celtics. After game 3, it was pretty much ALL Bird & the Celtics. Larry finished with 27.4 ppg 17 rpg. Bird had 98 rebounds. The top 2 Lakers had 111. Great series between 2 great teams!!

I’ve never been a huge B Ball fan. I’m football/baseball.. but I love watching this stuff from back in the day..They played every sport back then.. balls to the wall.. Sports ain’t the same anymore. All sports… even NASCAR it’s a joke to me now… back in the day they could race.. now won;t say what I want to..but it’s joke

Nobody seems to talk about the '87 Celtics draft choice of Lenny Bias, who died before ever playing a game. Bias was the #2 pick in that draft. He was a 6'9'' powerhouse on the inside and would have made a definite effect on the game.
